South Dublin Maktab
During his last visit to Ireland, the celebrity visited South Dublin Makab. He delivered a short talk to the congregation at Maktab. Brother Junaid Jamshed was a supporter of South Dublin Maktab. He was confirmed to participate in a planned fundraising event for Lucan Islamic Community Centre project in Ireland. May Allah Have His Mercy on Brother Junaid Jamshed, he died in an airplane crash just two months before the planned fundraising event.

Bringing Change
Prayer Service
At its current premises, SDM provides only major congregational prayer services i.e. Jummah Prayer, Taraweeh Prayer and Eid Prayer. When Lucan Mosque and Community Centre (LICC) will be built, all prayers will be performed there.
Education
Two parallel sessions of Quran/Arabic after-school are held at South Dublin Maktab. One session is organised by SDM in collaboration with Daare Arqam Trust and the other session is organised by Makki Trust. There is one qualified teacher for each session.
Social Activities
SDM organises and lets others conduct several social events throughout the year. Several different social and fun activities are arranged for ladies, gents, youth and kids. local community members, public representatives and officials are also invited.

SDCC decided to grant permission
On 23rd January 2020, The South Dublin County Council has made a decision to grant permission on the planning permission application for Lucan Islamic Community Centre (LICC) made by South Dublin Maktab.
Pre Fundraising Phase
Before formal fundraising starts for the building of the Mosque and Lucan Islamic Community Centre, SDM has launched a pre-fundraising phase in which we would repay all the Loan (Qard Hasan) taken for purchase of the land.

Barbecue Night
As a part of fundraising campaign for the Mosque and Community Centre, SDM would arrange frequent BBQ nights. All the income generated would go to the Mosque project.
